I refused to watch any trailer at all or read anything about it. I just went based on IMDb and rotten tomatoes ratings. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/2nraxl/american_sniper_is_clint_eastwoods_take_on_modern/
(0 children) Im sure if Star Wars 7 was directed by Lucas, it'll be mostly steady and slowly moving wide shots and a close ups of people talking with all the shots being nicely lit. As soon as you see the close up of the stormtroopers in the teaser, you can tell that Lucas had no hand in the direction. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/2nttqq/the_george_lucas_special_edition_trailer_for_the/
As kids, we were lucky if we got one or two cool blockbusters to look forward to. Flash-forward to next year and check the calendar: Star Wars VII, Avengers 2, Bond 24, Jurassic World, Furious 7, Terminator 5, Mockingjay Part 2, Mission: Impossible 5, Mad Max 4, and Ted 2 -- all coming 2015.
(6 children) It wasn't that good. Nobody even dies, of course, and that kid is infuriating. I would have left him at a fire station if he was mine. Predestination was better, even though you could tell from a mile away that every character is Ethan Hawke. His past self, the young girl/woman (born with male and female organs), his face is damaged by fire, he goes back and talks to himself, leaves himself at the doorstep of the orphanage and he is also the bomber because he thinks he's saving more lives than he's ending by stopping future crimes. They know too. He was never meant to stop future crimes, his purpose is to keep making sure he does the same things every time to ensure he always ends up as the bomber, therefore always stopping worse attacks by committing his own. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/2ntftd/worth_a_watch_10_australian_films_from_2014_you/
Official Discussion: The Babadook [SPOILERS]
(0 children) I don't completely understand the idea that "Sequel/franchise/reboot= unoriginal!!" Originality and creativity come in many packages. Just looking at this years big films, Captain America 2 is part of two franchises(!) and it still had a lot to say about society. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/2ns5yi/as_kids_we_were_lucky_if_we_got_one_or_two_cool/

She struggles to discipline her ‘out of control’ 6 year-old, Samuel, a son she finds impossible to love. Samuel’s dreams are plagued by a monster he believes is coming to kill them both. When a disturbing storybook called The Babadook turns up at their house, Samuel is convinced that the Babadook is the creature he’s been dreaming about. His hallucinations spiral out of control, and he becomes more unpredictable and violent. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/2nqb11/official_discussion_the_babadook_spoilers/
